This Privacy Policy applies to visitors of our website at www.socialcascade.co (the “Site”), the Social Cascade software as provided at the Site, and apps, extensions, software or add-ons provided by us for use with the Social Cascade Platform (collectively the “Platform”) and any other products, services, mobile applications and websites offered by Social Cascade, Inc. (“Social Cascade”, “Company”, “us” or “we”) related to the platform.

Any capitalized terms not defined in this Privacy Policy shall have the meaning attributed to them in the Terms of Services for the platform. The terms “you,” “your,” “user” and similar terms refer to end users of our Platform including health systems, hospitals, clinics, healthcare providers or staff.

The Platform

The Platform has been designed to be an online platform where healthcare providers and members of a healthcare organization can disseminate public health messages to their social media accounts. Content Providers can also create user accounts on the Platform. Content Providers can provide health messages and associated media into streams on the Platform.

Information of Children

The Platform is not intended for independent use by minors under the age of 13. We do not allow children under the age of 13 to create and access individual accounts on the Platform.

Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

Information you provide

When you sign up for the Platform, we ask you for some basic personal information. This includes personally identifying information such as your name and organization information. You may update or change your account or profile information through the Platform at any time. When you use the Platform, you may provide additional personal information at your sole discretion, including content preferences and social media profile information.

Cookies

When you use the Platform, unless prohibited by applicable law, we may use one or more cookies in your internet browser. We use cookies for the legitimate business purpose of helping us to understand how individuals utilize our website and to help us improve the quality of our Platform, including for storing user preferences, improving search results, and tracking user trends. You can configure your browser to accept all cookies, reject all cookies, or notify you when a cookie is set.

Automatically collected information

When you access the Platform via a browser, application or other device, our servers automatically record certain information. These server logs may include information such as your web request, your interaction with a Platform, Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request. When you use the Platform using your smartphone or other mobile device, we may collect information regarding device type, operating system, IP address and device ID.

User communications

When you send communications to us or to other users through the Platform, we may retain those communications in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests and improve our Platforms.

Financial information

We may have access to certain financial information in connection with our use of third-party payment processors, which may include the type of credit card used, portions of your credit card number, the expiration date, and your billing address.

How We Use and Share Information

We use information you provide and information we automatically collect for legitimate interests of our business; including, to administer the Platform, to allow you and other users to use the Platform and to improve our Platform.

We may create aggregated and statistical data about our users and/or organizations, and the use of the Platform. We may share or provide aggregated and statistical data, including demographics, reach and engagement, to Organizations, Content Providers, or Researchers. We will not disclose any of this information to advertisers or marketers of other products.

Our Content Providers do not have access to data you provide us or data we collect unless you expressly initiate such a request or expressly consent to the disclosure of such data.

We will disclose information to our service providers that work on our behalf or with us to provide the Platform. We do not permit these providers to use your information other than as necessary to provide the Platforms to us. We may disclose your information if we have a good faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of such information is reasonably necessary to (a) satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or other governmental or law enforcement request, (b) enforce our Terms of Service, (c) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues, (d) protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of our company, the Platform, its users or the public as required or permitted by law.

Corporate Events

If our company becomes involved in a merger, acquisition, or any form of sale of some or all of its assets, your information may be included in the assets sold or transferred to the acquirer. You hereby agree that we may transfer or assign the information we have collected from you in connection with any such event.

Information Security

We will take commercially reasonable security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of data. These include internal reviews of our data collection, storage and processing practices and other security measures. Furthermore, we limit access to our users’ information to only those employees who reasonably need access to it.

In the event of a breach of security affecting personal information on our servers, we will take such action and we will promptly investigate the matter. Social Cascade does not retain personal information for longer than necessary to deliver services.

Controlling, Accessing and Updating Personal Information

If you have created an individual account on socialcascade.co to access and use the Platform, you may update, change or correct your personal information through the Platform. Individual’s Rights (Data Subject Rights)

GDPR

The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) grants individuals in the EU/EEA certain rights, including: information access, objection to processing, objection to automated decision-making and profiling, restriction of processing, data portability, data rectification, and data erasure.

CCPA

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides California consumers with the right to request access to their personal data, additional details about our information practices and deletion of their personal data (subject to certain exceptions). California consumers also have the right to opt out of sales of personal data, if applicable.

International Data Transfers

Personal data you submit on the Site or Platform may be sent to other countries on our service providers’ cloud servers. We are a US-based company and by accessing our Site, you grant us expressed consent to transfer your Personal data to US servers. If you do not wish for us to transfer your Personal data to the US, please contact us at privacy@socialcascade.co.

Third Party Sites

We do not exercise control over any other sites that may be linked to or accessed through the Platform or our website. We have no responsibility for the privacy practices of other websites. You should review the policies of any third party sites before providing personal information.

Location of Servers

We process personal information on our servers in the United States of America. If you are accessing the Platform from another jurisdiction, you hereby expressly consent to the transfer and processing of your personal information in the United States.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We will post any Privacy Policy changes on the Platform and our website and, if the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice. Your continued access to or use of the Platform after we have posted changes will indicate that you agree to be bound by such changes.

If you do not agree with such changes, you should cease accessing or using the Platform and seek the deletion of your information by contacting us as described above.
